The Jealous Boss

Many people feel that their contributions at work are not properly recognized, and that their efforts on the job go largely unnoticed. Sometimes this is simply a function of bad management where supervisory personnel are too busy to notice what their employees are doing. Often however it is a matter of jealousy, where the supervisor resents the skills, abilities, and contributions of a subordinate and deliberately ignores them. If you find yourself in this situation, it is untenable because you will never receive the recognition and opportunities for advancement that you deserve.
